I've often remarked that wars should always be condiucted in this way. Each side has a short period of time to drum up "patriotic support" and get "those who would die for the cause" to sign up. Then, each side gathers up all of the willing, and delivers them to the opposing side, where they are summarily executed upon arrival. When one side can no longer summon any more "patriots", that side is said to have lost and an agreement must be set accordingly.
it's win-win-win. The war has a clear winner. Those who would "die for their cause" are given the opportunity to do so, and the rest of us are left the fuck alone.
