Another attempt to chart imperial military, economic and cultural power.
I still don't trust the data very much, but it's a good start.
Rome peaks in the 2nd Century AD with Trajan.
Greek empires peak with Alexander in the 3rd Century BC.
Carthage peaks in the 3rd Century BC, during the punic wars.
Persia reaches it's lowest point in the 3rd BC, also with Alexander.
Greek includes all the successor states (Seleucid, Ptolomeic, Antigonid..)
It's particularly interesting to see how Greek cultural power long outlasted their military might. 300 years after Alexander's death they were still producing more scrolls than the rising Romans. Surely Alexandria and they Ptolomys played a large part in this.
