I had the same question, but notedeck / damus is being built a different way, will have similar signing to only trust once. Soon™

Damus will be it's own signer. #soon

This would be neat. One less app to install. Assuming it works the same and can sign for apps like Fountain, bunkers, etc. I'll be keeping it installed and signed in with just my npub for now.
