I think the principle has become more important than the practise. We need to understand the real threat which is the centralisation of mining, which Ocean is fighting by re-empowering miners to create their own templates and make their own decisions on which transactions to permit / deny. For this reason I run Knots and support Ocean, but I long since stopped caring about the spam debate and moved on. Things are looking hopeful for mining, Foundry USA and Antpool have both lost ground to Ocean. That along with Jack's new Bitcoin miner, the "Proto" is slowly, perhaps suddenly reducing the grip Bitmain have on the mining industry, both through hardware and pools.

Thanks Mike. I do think Bitcoin Mechanic has a point though - it’s hardly just “spam” is it? Much much worse. Normies will be very easily put off by this. Obviously I do agree on your centralisation of mining point.
