There's AC which has been fine this year since summer was cooler than average but I'm about to install a server with multiple GPUs for LLMs and that's probably going to heat things up
That's pretty sweet it's cooled too. My attic would end up melting my SSDs much less any GPU. I had to add in portable AC to make sure I kept the system cool in the summer then mine in the winter for aux heat.
Not your server, not your data. Controlling the 'territory', both the server AND the building housing it is essential for true control over our digital selves; our identities, credentials, and content. Mitigation of being placed under siege though, also requires cont rol over the transport rails and the verification of our allies identities and credentials, too. https://image.nostr.build/ade0eeb4da994b7797645d1e55eac0010b48612a2021d128b795a747ea042e3 The First Person Project understands these facts. https://static1.squarespace.com/static/6834ee7c55c6376908871a6d/t/68cc3a8c99a9e21f398ea782/1758214796847/The+First+Person+Project+White+Paper+V1.0.pdf
servers? peers be all equal. fuck servers for good already. the closest thing to actual real change towards NDN (named data networking) of sorts is freenet-project nowadays known as hayphanet. fuck relays and servers and all that shit. make peers equal. run same software on all peers. be the server be the storage be the node be the peer. there is hardly a bettter idea.

Ah, that's why Gleasonator is down for weeks.
They're probably only loud when the boot as the fans spin up on max. Otherwise they're not too loud. Heat could be an issue. This is a good question.
Nice! What is the decibel level from that rack @Alex Gleason ? Considering setting something up in my apartment but not sure if I can handle the fan noise..
