I love art. But I also realize I can only afford it if I have an excess of resources and disposable income. When the economy for us, mere mortals, is not so great, art becomes a secondary priority. I’ll still enjoy it if it’s freely shared, but food takes the front seat.

It might be just a European thing, but it is pretty sweet to be able to visit places that are out of your budget (monetary or time-wise).
