Thanks Paul, I’ve already done this but they keep appearing on both Android and the web, I probably have to wait for the next live to start, however a command to disable this function all at once would be much more useful. 🙏
Hi there. We saw your 1-star review on Play Store. I’ll try to address all your combined points and questions: Live streams are not playing in the background; they play only when you specifically select the stream. In your Play Store review you said that you would prefer to remove the live stream banners from the home screen. You can do so by selecting stream options and turning Stream Notifications off (see paul’s note below). As for data usage, many nostr users upload unoptimized high-res videos to their feeds. All nostr apps (including Primal) show original videos as you scroll the feed, and that can quickly add up. My guess is that you would see the exact same data usage when using any other Nostr app. This also explains the battery drain. We are working on showing resampled/optimized versions of videos in the feed. That should improve this situation substantially. Aiming to have an update with this optimization in a few weeks. This solution did not solve the problem. They are still at the top of the feed, also the mute function still does not work.
