Today is the day my nephew gets his first BTC, and hopefully begins his learning journey. I’ve concluded that 500,000 sats is an appropriate amount. It’s a lot for me to give, but he is my nephew after all. Since I’m gifting on-chain, I wanted it to be a decent sized UTXO for the future. I’ll download the wallet app on his phone so he can view it for now, and I’ll keep a backup of the seed. I’m using the Coldcard Q with Nunchuk, fantastic hardware paired with fantastic software.
