the power of arch, one of the ONLY next generation linux (it and gentoo, came out in 2003ish.) This is why people confuse gentoo with arch, cause they're dumb but both were out at the same time, just gentoo likes to compile everything and I prefer binaries for those 1944 packages I install from the arch base distro with no compile time and ultra efficient binary co-existence.. But anyway, it's package management, build/release systems, and maintainers are top notch. That's how it's possible to have a real linux desktop that is maintainable forever by rolling forward everyday. Did you know, steamdeck, went with arch. Then tried to switch to ubuntu, gave up and released with arch? Yeah, cause it fucking works, and is the latest and greatest. The flagship of rolling releases. So it is no wonder, Omarchy is good, because it leverages all that and builds on top a few apps like an installer and some opinions. Pretty cool imho, but still "*you run arch btw" :) #yearoflinuxdesktop #linux
