I agree with you in part because you're right. But I don't think this is strictly binary. Compute likely will change farming and many other things. It could be the case that how we feed ourselves in the future will look very different to now because of computational discoveries and innovation.
I didn't say anything would change your farming. Computers have broadly led to innovation in various areas that change how humans do certain things. Meaning at some point, horizontal land mass may not be as important for farming as it is and has been. This isn't binary. It's possible to benefit from both.
You can't own any useful land. The only places you're allowed to own land are where it's increasingly unlivable or unsafe You sound like the kind of person that pretends renting is buying
I did not say that your farming techniques needed to change. You can do whatever you want. I was speaking broadly about farming techniques and technologies, not what you do on your farm. You do realize you aren't the only human on the planet, right? My only point is that this issue isn't binary, and that how things are and were aren't necessarily how they will always be broadly. It may not always be the case that farming is broadly done how it is today, meaning compute may still be worth considering even if one owns physical land.
I think physical space will always be important, but that doesn't mean it will on it's own be the most important thing or important in the same way it is now or in the past. Computers have already changed farming in some ways. You're free to farm however you want on land you own. I never said that wasn't the case or that computation would change anything for you. Consider not telling people they literally said something they literally didn't and instead be more precise in your own language.
Yeah. That's the narrative... But it makes no sense to do that. The cooling is more complicated in space. The weight of all the components is expensive to blast off into space. Heck, I don't think many components would like the trip...
