Western Europe after the war was a haven of freedom and prosperity. The antithesis to the dictators of this world, the USSR and the Warsaw Pact.
Everything that once defined us here is being dismantled by irresponsible politicians. Prosperity, security, freedom.
Many people can no longer afford the costs of living, money is being printed without end, costs are skyrocketing, companies are going bankrupt by the dozen, violence is escalating, freedom is being abolished at record speed.
Pavel #Durov from #Telegram was persecuted by Russia, Iran and other countries for defending freedom of expression. At some point, Russia realized that it still couldn't get to grips with Telegram. Now he has landed in supposedly free Europe and is arrested at the airport in France because he refuses to hand over the data of Telegram users and curtail freedom of expression. #Assange is free, now we have the next political prisoner. And he too is in a Western prison.
How low have we sunk?
It's up to us people here on the ground. Do we allow the destruction of everything that once defined us or do we fight for #freedom?
