These people don’t know what proof is. They think because something was written down on paper a long time ago, it must be right. As if it’s so hard to change it or *gasp* lie about it 😳 The irony is that if a woman came out and said that she was pregnant and a virgin, religious people would be the first to call bullshit. Why should I believe your story but not this woman’s? 🤣
It would take me a full waking day to lay out the case for this, but you would not give me the time necessary to cook the dish you’ve requested. You would barge into the kitchen demanding to taste it before five minutes have even elapsed. You cannot receive what is necessary to be received in order to understand. Persist in your ignorance if you must.
“I know because I feel it in my heart.” So do all the other people around the world with religious beliefs. Care to drink cow piss? It’s good for spirituality I hear
Translation: My views are so convoluted that I can’t explain them in a reasonable and timely manner. Instead, I need to slowly mold and manipulate your beliefs until they align with mine.
Not complicated AT ALL Show me proof of Yahweh creating earth in 6 days and proof of heaven and hell and Jesus whipping the money changers. This is an impossibility Besides… A just omnipotent deity will never blame me for having rational doubt about hardly believable religions which have a checkered past *and* future
Not saying you believe in the big bang theory but tangentially related to the start of the universe…show me proof of the entire universe starting in a flash. And if it did all start in an instant with a big bang, thats what i would classify as a miracle. 🤷‍♂️
Calm your tits. I wasn’t even talking about any claims you may or may not have made The point is that you and anyone who is religious cannot possibly prove any truth to any of the Bronze Age fables that attempt to clarify how we got here Nobody knows. Nobody ever will know. Clear?
I used to be like you: willfully ignorant and sure of my position. As long as you have already made up your mind, the argument is already moot. We probably agree on a lot of things but you'll never know because you are not receptive or patient. I have 200 pages written up weaving between science and various religious and esoteric wisdom traditions. I've got declassified intelligence documents supporting me. I've got a scientist who was unalived because he wrote a book that ripped the face off the universe. I've got 100+ year old archaeology that was dismissed generations ago because part of it was wrong and people like you stupidly threw the baby out with the bathwater. Answers are out there. They're not easy to find but they're there. Persist in your ignorance if you must, but, quoting Mark Baum in The Big Short, "...you are wrong, sir."
Your funny. I like you. But you don’t understand what doubt is, what *not knowing* is, and how you can *never prove anything* true or false when it comes to earth’s and mankind’s origin story How could I have made up my mind when I explicitly do not know nor can I, or you, or the Hamburgerler possibly know these facts ??
Look up the words consilience and pronoia. I'm saturated in consilience and pronoia. I don't even have to try anymore. Sources pop onto my radar and I look through them and they support the perspective my research has already distilled. I may not be able to prove certain things but that doesn't mean I have nothing. Then there's the unknown unknown part. You don't know what I've found. You have certain operating assumptions about how reality works and those assumptions do not account for the paranormal or the extraordinary. That's where your perspective is myopic. You don't know what you don't know and you're committed to remaining ignorant of what you don't know.
Just because I don’t have the answers to the origin of the universe, doesn’t mean I have to accept your explanation that lacks any credible evidence. I don’t give a fuck about the big bang theory. It’s mostly irrelevant. I’m here and I’m alive. I will eventually die. The origin of the universe doesn’t change these facts. They only serve to waste my time left here. If someone finds answers then I’ll look into it out of curiosity. But I doubt that will be discovered anytime soon.
It's really not that complicated. Things exist, we don't actually need an explanation for why, just live your life and be a decent person. If God exists and is just, they wouldn't care if you believe or not.

The best I ever read.
I’d just like some evidence as to why I should believe that any of these religions were anything but manmade. No one can offer that but they continue trying to convince me that the science supports this stuff. It does not lol
You also don’t know what you don’t know and you don’t know what I don’t know. Very productive back and forth game you’re playing with us here 😂
I know what a logical fallacy is but you’re the genius who attacked me for it when I didn’t commit it. Although the debates around theism always end up revolving around proofs anyway. That’s what your whole thesis is about: gathering truths that all these religions are one and the same. And truths are arrived at with proofs. So it’s not even really much of a strawman lmao way to go Paul 😂
The problem is that many people actually need God or the modern idea of a simulation because they are children, not leaders/adults. Without a higher power, bigger plan or "benevolent" authority, they revert to nihilsm and misbehave or they become complacent and all progress from them stops. Basically, sheeple believing in this crap is the only reason a peaceful and productive society can even exist. So just let them have it and "disprove" the parts that lead to bad behavior.
