I’d like to read more about what they were expecting the sacrifice result to be at the time it was made and to understand what has changed for them. Why do you think it wasn’t worthwhile?

This gentleman above is British and it’s very obvious that England is far less free than it was when he was a young man during the war. It’s far less safe, homogenous, its cultural institutions are dying etc…
