Nostr is better equipped against that stuff since your posting to multiple instances at once rather than being at the mercy of the instance you are on and with your ID being yours rather than instance bound.
Mastodon has a vulnerability where they could defederate instances that don't implement it. But at least the users have a fighting chance by switching to instances that don't, except thats starting from scratch effectively.
