If you think voting is going to fix anything, you're living in a fantasy land.
Yes.
Not voting is assuredly going to fail to even express dissent which is a decent and not entirely meaningless action. It at least promotes cohesion among the governed population.
The people who are really in charge are not elected, so voting does absolutely nothing to displace them. Politicians are largely a front which enable the people behind the scenes.
It is an illusion we subscribe to that it will work, that's why people live in hope each time there is an election, with endless promises that are always broken because the system cannot be changed from within.
The people in charge do fear a united community of people, hence the propaganda. Anything that promotes coalesced opinions in the masses is terrifying to the ruling elite. We are marching toward Bastille Day, make no mistake. One day at a time friend.
