Try searching your yard to see what is already growing, too. You might find dandelion, burdock, thistle, plantain, pine needles, etc., all have different healing properties.
We have plenty of dandelion (we’ve made dandelion jelly), so lol have to look up the others you mentioned tho.
Chamomille and lavender would make good additions.
Seems good
I am a super huge fan of comfrey and also elderberry. But beejay is correct and some things will be better for your area. But I do believe comfrey and elderberry grow almost everywhere
All culinary herbs are highly medicinal. Make tea don’t just flavor food.
I understand that but I’m also looking for other suggestions…
Like what about a plant that can provide a pain killer? Possibly poppy?
Self heal, saint johns wort, and goldenrod is almost near by every one.
... and wild lettuce (it's the milky stems that have the medicine)
Yes, poppy, all 3 kinds. Valerian too. There are topical herbs like arnica
Yes, good one
I do t know what self heal is or saint John’s wort, was planning on harvesting goldenrod from one of my local forest preserves as they are plentiful there.
I’ll look those up!
👍
Herbs are fun
Try sage and kale as well👍
I should have bought comfrey years ago from @npub1ugnq...898l
I do sell comfrey salve. And I sell freeze dried powdered comfrey for you to use as you wish. Or I would sell you some plants (not to take away from the person you mentioned)
Nice if I can’t get some locally of from shishi I’ll reach out
Yarrow stops bleeding almost instantly. It's great for first aide situations.
Oregano oil is the most powerful anti-bacterial medicine I've experienced.
I’ll have to look up yarrow and oregano oil thank you

Thank you for the link!
Arnica is amazing and I love using it on my hands and fingers when I get a mild arthritis flare-up, it's also good for bruises and aches.
These are the "weeds" I clean out of my hostas every year aren’t they?
Probably, you can tell by the shape of the leaf, but also that the stem is slightly woody and there are soft ribs or fins along the top of the stem below the main leaves, and the softer part of the stem has miky sap coming out.
I’m gonna need to start doing a lot of research aren’t I lol
lol yeah I took about 20 minutes just to look into the wild lettuce - then I was able to see it growing all over the fence borders in my yard
Welp time for lots of dyor 🤓📖
