Just in from Twitch. Quote: "New EU regulations, colloquially called DAC7, require certain digital platforms, including Twitch, to report information to the EU regarding earnings generated by monetizing users. At Twitch, this concerns all monetizing streamers (Affiliates and Partners) who reside in the EU" #nostr and #ZapStream fix this.

a vexing situation. As with AI though and as they did with bitcoin the EU will strangle themselves into negative productivity growth. Go to Europe for the chesse and the summer; otherwise avoid.
I'd like to be in El Salvador by '25. The EU is the test-lab for growing programmable citizens living on universal income with everything you do going on record. I don't know why only so few seem to see this yet. It's not a union of countries any more. It's a corporation.
I agree it seems obvious. I would suggest buying somewhere in El Sal as soon as you can with overseas money it is cheap. It might not be cheap forever
As creator you're on the receiving end of the zaps not the sending side and you can setup LN addresses for specific usage. To rat on yourself (in this case) you'd first have to draw the attention of the IRS to your channel. Then they have to figure out who you really are and then they have to try and trace the money flow. I've been around for over 10 years now and the IRS has received 0 from me during that time. There is always a way...
I meant, if you are using an LNURL it's tied to a domain name and they know who to go to to find records. You are trusting them to not keep records, and they won't be able to tell you if they are if they have a national security letter telling them not to. You wouldn't believe how many crypto exchanges and related businesses get these things. They will be here on Nostr soon enough.
