The cartoon is wrong, a little:
Only about 5% of currency is physically represented. Most of it is electronic, only. Just a ledger statement.
When the bank 'asks' for money from the Fed, following the cartoon's example, they present the Notes that borrower's signed, with an attached indorsement. These have appeared during Discovery in cases. There's an extra stamp:
'Without recourse, by (title) /signed by bank official/
Pay to the order of
BANK OF AMERICA INCORPORATED' (or whatever the bank name is).
The Bank is a conversion facility. They take your pledge to pay (a promissory note) and convert it into FRN's. This is how the bank is double-paid: first by your Note, second by the Mortgage or Loan Agreement.

When all the States gold & silver was confiscated during 1933 / 1934, by executive order by Roosevelt (Rosenfeld), the benefit was that each person became a banker. The banks are a means to access your own credit.
What happens at a bank, is fraud. As long as fraud has a remedy, it's been allowed to continue. The ignorance of how the 'borrower' signs the Note, is what causes their own hardship.
That is no different than the maxim 'every man must be his own physician'. Ignorance towards medicine and the law is what causes the hardship.
Everyone is treated equally, as an emacipated slave - a U.S. Citizen. Something dreamt up, not without basis, by Congress to define a slave without a master.
Considering how your average NPC or Karen behaves today, 'U.S. Citizen', a term illuminated through the 14th Amendment, is appropriate.
A slave with liberty to walk about, does not have self-governance. He does not have the self-governance to be a soveriegn, let alone a man.
Human, a colorable half-man, half-beast, is the term popularized for those that resemble men by their most raw, basic physical attributes.
I had the Primal client which never showed me notifications. @npub1madj...5vdm so kindly told me about Amythest, and now I am playing catch-up.
