GM. Does it bother anyone else that US subs have reactors that allow sailors to safely work indefinitely under water but that technology hasn't been leveraged for cities and states to make electricity cheaply?

It doesn't inherently follow that it would help make anything cheaper.
The US military isn't exactly known for its wise stewardship of resources.
True, but the tech exists, and it is very old. We could have been iterating on it for the last few decades for commercial use.
