I've seen engineers get fired at Big Tech companies for SSHing into company servers then using Tmux to adhoc fork off #Bitcoin mining processes.
Sysadmins trying to figure out why certain machines are running slow found orphaned tmux processes on root, but were able to piece together who had escalated the command in super user using logs.
