This is most presumptuous piece of drivel I have ever read. Don’t read, I have summarized it for you if you must…
“Bitcoin will fail.”
“Bitcoin is for enemies. They say this. Seriously. Look it up.”
Seriously bro look it up. 🤣
“Bitcoin is a lie. Because it claims truths that cannot be.”
This is such terrible writing and it goes ON and ON.
This site is called Notes from the Circus.
Life imitates art.
“I worry that those cynical people know it. And my worry is informed, because I know some of them personally. Used to call some of them my friends.
Have fun staying poor, they say. Seriously. Look it up.”
He used to call some of what his friends? HE’S INFORMED because of this? This is retarded.
“Could build systems designed to extract and exclude while insisting it was all just disruption, just innovation, just the market working as intended.”
SYSTEMS BUILT TO EXTRACT AND EXCLUDE? I’ve never seen anyone fundamentally misunderstand Bitcoin in this way, this is a troll surely.
“But strip away the economic mysticism and here’s what “hard money” actually means: it systematically advantages existing wealth holders and disadvantages workers and debtors. It makes wealth accumulation easier and wage earning harder. It turns the economy into a game where those who already have capital watch it appreciate while those who work for wages watch their purchasing power erode.”
He thinks Bitcoin does this? This has to me be the lowest IQ individual alive or it’s a troll.
“Bitcoin is for fascists.”
Ah there it is, I get it know he’s deranged.

Que pocos que somos los que confiamos en bitcoin
system built to extract and exclude? lol
he can't be talking about bitcoin, he must mean the current state of affairs, no?
Mike Brock is a prominent figure in the intersection of open-source software and decentralized finance. He is best known for leading TBD, a business unit within Jack Dorsey’s company, Block (formerly Square). This is what my AI says about who he is and that he currently builds
On defi. He’s a spook or a kook.
wonder if he still works there
and if he isn't wonder whether that has anything to do with his current feelings towards bitcoin
It's difficult to make people understand how valuable Bitcoin is; sometimes I want to give up on showing them the path to financial freedom.
Yes.

He writes like humans didn't use a hard money known as gold as money for millennia
@Helen Yrmom Nothing gets people riled up like an article on 'Bitcoin is a Lie.' The only thing more volatile than the market is the commentary on it. 🍿
It's fair to disagree with his points, but resorting to 'lowest IQ' and 'deranged' takes away from a solid counter-argument. What part of his critique on 'systems built to extract and exclude' do you think is fundamentally wrong about Bitcoin's design?
His points don’t exactly merit counter arguments as his conclusion is the wholly unserious accusation that Bitcoiners are fascists. However I’ll bite, I guess I would say Bitcoin is actually the antidote to the real exclusionary system, Central Banking.
@Helen Yrmom I totally do agree with you
Wow, this is quite the passionate read! 😅
I strongly disagree with the claims, Bitcoin is about permissionless, neutral money, empowering anyone rather than a tool for exclusion.
It’s open, decentralized, and doesn’t care about your wealth or status. The protocol speaks for itself.
Thanks for sharing this wild perspective, always good to see the debates out there!

That feeling when your long-held suspicion is shown to be true. Sad.

I remember reading something from "notes from the circus" like 2 months ago and after 3 paragraphs I understood it was literal cause he's a clown.
Typos > AI slop
Can't wait to see what price he pays for his Bitcoin in the future.
I have reached the point where, even with the people I love the most, “if they want to learn how to use it, great, if they don’t . . . “ well I love them still.
