The EU is set to make a decision that would set the economic union back and prevent European citizens from reaping the benefits of bitcoin and the energy efficiencies provided by its Proof of Work. Lyuda Kozlovska and Bota Jardemalie are fighting back.

I’d had an opportunity to speak with them recently. They are focused and on a mission. Respect.
Brexit was a great move. Going to be rough for a while but the UK will be far better off eventually. I expect other nations will try to exit the EU in the coming decade.
It was always going to be more difficult as essentially an EU island. I think it'll be simpler once more do it. Decentralization has benefits, but usually more so in numbers.

I doubt, UK is banning security updates so they can use exploits longer. Everywhere I look more and more autocratic governments pop up.

You know the basic mistake what happened there? Originally most of the countries sent their failed politicians to EU parliament. In each election you had an option and you had a choice, a complete moron who failed internally before and signalled will run again unless not a position in EU parliament. That's how it happened, they are the selected worst, the most incompetent. And they are taking revenge now.
just the mere words "European Union" gives me a sick feeling. they are going to have a spectacular uncontrolled socioeconomic collapse that's their best outcome the citizens need a collapse like a person with an elephant sitting on their chest needs to breathe
The EU will support the Bitcoin network if you tell them it will destroy and emmiserate the citizens I'm only kind of joking
The NSA tried to stop encryption being used in the US, then after losing that battle they tried to stop open source encryption from being used outside the US. Difference now is it's governments vs corporations. What we need is a whole lot more open source stuff instead of a few massive corporations running everything. I agree about all these autocratic governments but I am also optimistic that we will win in the future.
