skeptical as hell doesnt mean shut down
it means: wild claims need to clear high bars, that's all
~especially~ when there is Huge incentive egoically, easy effortless self fulfilling confirmation bias incentive for every health food nut
the gigantic health food/ alt health industry stands to gain fortunes and vindication
and anyone with orthorexia is only so pleased cos reifies reason for illness
i can explain this an even further way,
disclaimer: am i really under researched in the bitcoin space, yes. do i know who the power brokers are or whatever, no. again, i dont even know who saylor ~is~ like what saylor does all day, i do know what he looks like. i know what odell looks like, his voice, etc
so, when it comes to claims, of any kind, about anything
there are people with perceived power, and actual power (and often that overlaps), the people who can grant grants, etc, fund shit, etc, recommend you for a job, etc
and people who cant cos they dont have anything like that to offer, are not invested, dont have monetary incentives or pressures
long way of saying: if you come across a spurious claim and then put it thru: 'would a general audience member reasonably presume <insert name> [jack dorsey, saylor, odell, gladstein (hrf), lyn alden] would be pleased re: the public narrative comms of them as a company persona brand' if the answer is yes, that claim deserves way way more scrutiny
as in, ~also~ prove to me why this isnt dicksucking propaganda fanboy fangirl shit
