I didn’t even see who you were replying to lol. My comments weren’t an attack on specifically Contra, but any religiousity in general. I’ve seen him defend his position before and thought he has done it well, even if I disagree with his beliefs or justification for them. The fact he can stand firm in his position and typically is able to debate them without relegating to insults is admirable. Most people will tire early and become frazzled when someone disagrees with them. That’s partly why religious people will hangout with other religious people. Their opinions go unchallenged. Though, it’s a common human trait, irrespective of religion. People like sticking to their tribes. And explaining “why” takes patience and courage, which I think Contra does for the most part.
