Good morning nostr 🌞 Currently in the middle of a 36-hour fast. Started yesterday around midday and going through until tomorrow morning. One of the main reasons for doing this is autophagy, which is the body’s way of cleaning out damaged cells and regenerating newer, healthier ones. It’s essentially a built-in reset. Fasting like this can help trigger that process, along with supporting things like metabolic health and overall cellular repair. Not something I do all the time, but once or twice a year it feels right. A bit of a reset. Well overdue.

It’s best to not workout at all during it. Just keep it easy going for the duration of the time
Yep that’s something I try and do as well. The last 36 hour I did was maybe a year ago. Always interesting to see the amount of sediment that comes out 😆 that’s how you know it’s working
Junky candy (Reese's, about a dozen Andes mints), restaurant food (although my meals were delicious), and ice cream. I did fit some salads in there too, but mostly just garbage calories that taste good but do nothing other than push my weight back up.
It definitely takes discipline and consistency but it’s okay to step off path every now and then. Knowing you have tools like fasting in your back pocket is the real advantage. You can always come back, reset, recalibrate. You’ve still got to enjoy the sweet things in life, too. That’s part of it 😁
