What's the best place to read a bit more about this stuff? Lightning is quite interesting and I've been using it custodial for a long time now.. but maybe fun to play around with it on my own node 😃

Definitely worth running your own node! Running a node absolutely changed my relation to Bitcoin, increased my sovereignty 10-fold and opened up a ton of new doors.
Probably best place to start are either Plebnet or @Nodestrich ♾️ groups on Telegram. Lots of other noderunners glad to share advice and get you started on the journey. ⚡️
I've been running a full node for a few years now but the Lightning node has never really been needed. Could be fun though😇. Thanks for the suggestions.
