Maybe it's now the right time to start working on a true bitcoin competitor. Monopolies are not good, even though bitcoin is a pseudo-monopolly. Just a thought.

What do you mean? Why would Bitcoin need a competitor? Genuinely asking
I just don't feel comfortable with the idea of a monopolistic protocole. Even though, neither the brand nor the network and even less the product is controlled by a single entity. Therefore, it is actually a pseudo-monopoly. However, an alternative should be available. In my opinion.
I understand what you’re saying, however cat this point in time (post Bitcoin’s inception) anything that would come out as a “competitor” would have unfair advantage to whoever created it. Bitcoin, imo, is a once-in-a-lifetime creation where everything was married to make it fair and decentralize. Any imitators are trying to do so for profit off of Satoshi’s creation which he open sourced.
*at not cat…..?
Also curious what you mean by “monopolistic protocol” There are valid critiques that Vore has to offer, so curious on your apprehensions with those.
Bitcoin is safe now. And it feels lonley. If for anything, the competitor would share risks with Bitcoin. And with countries entering in Bitcoin race, it will soon need some "help". 🧡
I agree
