What do you think of the idea of zap faucet for newcomers who fill out their profile / connect a wallet and or complete some other task - just so they have some sats to play with? Or could we add an intro flow to post about yourself and anyone reading those can just zap voluntarily?

Yeah that’s what I’m asking. Is this enough? We just work that into onboarding and encourage people to introduce themselves?
Like the faucet idea but better is person to person…we just need hashtag and then can follow along: #helloworld then ⚡️
People expecting free sats just because they are new goes fundamentally against the value-4-value idea. Also what would stop me from farming new Nostr npubs and lightning addresses just to gain sats?
In the first option where do the initial sats come from? I'd go for the second option. Include a set up LN adress. And if the zapping of newcomers doesn't work of die down we can always consider the first option. 💜
A gamified faucet? New plebs get “rewarded” for onboarding properly. With Mimi bounties at each step. The faucet is paid by advertisers (advertiser has to be active on Nostr). You create an onboarding client with dual purpose, onboard plebs and attract advertisers. Now, let me switch my brain on and have some coffee.

я создам 20000000000000000 ботов и соберу все твои сатоши)))) готов мне их подарить??? Биткоин это фильтр... оставь это для них...
I would love something like a zap faucet. I have set up Damus and a Lightning address, and I don't know if it works or not, so I'd make use of something like that
The faucet demonstrates the role of kindness and motivation, and I'll zap sats to those interesting people, kind people, builders, and those who broaden our horizons.
They presented that on Nostrica, ran on stage through their onboarding and after new user sent a note w/ hashtag plebhy it got zapped, the idea was 'shortest time to zap'. They have auto-faucet I guess, but crowd-sourced is better IMO

Wow nice! I must have missed that.
Figma by @HoloKat tells everything, I think. The biggest issue I see is landing on a feed which is either empty or completely irrelevant. A set of topical feeds to choose from would probably help very much. Right now in app store version of Damus I land on Will's notes, which is quite weird.
