Odell himself caused it, by making Primal a centralized service that isn’t really a Nostr client but a proprietary service that scrapes Nostr for data. I generally do not follow anyone using Primal, and urge them to immediately take their nsec to another client.

Dunno who, what or why. Don't care to finger point and have seen the opprobrium. It's just there as what appears an obvious situation that people should maybe meditate on. The only way centralization and protocol destruction will occur is better clients that are easy to onboard people to and people onboarding others but schisms will diminish adoption so erm well done all!
