Dude. Just integrate kind 17 gift wrapped DMs … with legacy support to read Kind 4 … and a setting to toggle “legacy compatible / always use secure DMs.” for sending replies.

BTW since the last update two days ago … unread count badges in bottom tray of notifications screen are not being cleared out (for likes, replies, reposts, ect…)

There are more DM specs than that, and the problem is bigger than just DMs.

So is Gift Wrapping … bigger than just DMs. Is there a better way to deliver encrypted events? Or is it something else?
