I largely agree with what he says, although I disagree with the part about Lightning. LSPs hold a lot of user information. The Tor network has been vulnerable to timing correlation attacks; imagine if the Tor network used the LSP concept for an initial or final hop—the Tor network would be useless. Apply this to Lightning. On the other hand, I also appreciate the pragmatism in admitting that using Monero has been useful; the world doesn’t end just because you admit it’s a good privacy tool—not a substitute for Bitcoin. You can’t have these debates in the community because everyone ends up hating you—the Monero Bros and the Bitcoin Bros.
