#gm #nostriches ! Just curious, any #austriches have thoughts on the digital censorship/dictatorship bill that An-Al and his e-karen minion are pushing through on the 10th of December? Strategies etc? Im already in the process of de-googling and moving away from facef*ck and instascam but I do love photography so any other alternatives would be appreciated. For those saying "it only affects under 16s so why should I care?" It's about voting with my wallet and my feet. I'm in my 40s and dont need this censorship and tracking intrusion in my life. Whether this is the first step towards digital ID or not is irrelevant, if companies are happy to bow to tyranny then I'm not giving them any time, money or energy. #fuckpoliticians #deathtotyrants #fuckcensorship #privacy #freedom #liberty #resist #donotcomply #grownostr #austrich

It’s definitely the first steps towards a digital ID. I haven’t used FB for years (though use WhatsApp for some groups ugh), still using Gmail and Chrome, though I use Kagi for search and also Orion for browsing where possible Basically using Nostr is my current main avenue to escape the social media side of it all There was an interesting presentation at the recent Busso Bush Bash by @mineracks about the wider implications of the Dec 10 changes, I’ll see if it was released..
Same old plan for me, just keeping it real here on #nostr! I quit Fakebook etc ages ago. i do still have X but no biggie if that goes.

Oh nostr is a given and it'll be the central point for everything but just curious about others as I'm being asked the same questions by others

It’s the first step towards digital ID and a social credit system. I only found Nostr while looking for alternatives. If a VPN works I’ll use it to bypass until it doesn’t, otherwise it looks like Nostr will be where I thoughtdump and boredomscroll from here on

I bought the proton package with the email, VPN, drive etc and it's great. I know plenty of platforms will happily lick the boots of tyrants but it's the platforms that tell government to jam it that I want to know about 😀
