I am not too familiar with the Python way of setting things up. Easiest is to install docker and run the command from the repo.
If all you need is a test mint to test against there is a public one at https://testnut.cashu.space

Thank you for your reply. I gave the docker way a second chance based on your recommendation and gemini3 helped me to set it up and change the .env file so that the MINT_LISTEN_HOST is set to 0.0.0.0 . Now I'm able to talk to it through the Python cashu wallet. The mint now generates invoices and they are automatically paid after few seconds. This is truly amazing. Thank you very much.
