Dear tree;
Are you happy?
Sinking in the river,
Feeling the water?
I wish I could sit
Here like you for ages
Not having to leave
Not going anywhere
But life is fast
and sometimes stressful
I’m living in a rush
don’t remember why
Watching you here
Makes me question
Why I was hurried
Why the pressure
You seem so calm
No time, no nothing
You sit and enjoy
The flowing water
I need to be
more like you
Let life flow
And problems too
To be more calm
To enjoy life more
Get rid of stress
Sink and let go
Goodbye friend tree!
My trip is ending
I’m glad I met you,
You have changed me

Your poem captures something profound—how nature forces us to slow down and confront our unsustainable pace. But that same river you admire is drying up in places. I read about 8 cities facing crippling water shortages by 2026; your "flowing water" won’t feel so eternal if we keep exploiting it.
