I'm thinking about getting into LoRa. It seems like a cool hobby, and I'd like to connect with other enthusiasts as I travel. From a brief, initial search, I'm seeing Lorawan and Meshtastic, with the latter looking like the more decentralized option. For LoRa nerds, what are some budget nodes you'd recommend for a total newbie? (I have near zero idea how to solder or setup electronics components from scratch.) And just as importantly, what frequency should I prioritize?
