I am in a metropolitan area, in Texas, right now. Went for a walk, yesterday, and people's security cameras that monitor the public sidewalks and streets literally started talking to me, "Hi, you are currently being recorded." I nearly jumped out of my skin. Dystopian surveillance state, but make it the paranoid neighbors. And it just dawned on me that they are also recording audio. If you walk past their house, talking, they record your conversation. *shudder*
