Should certain users (spammers) be restricted from posting notes (spam) on this free speech protocol?

Exactly like any government. Take decisions in the shadows and go on with it because "we know better" and "it's in your interest". Not cool.
Some people didn't get beat with their Mom's flip flop and it shows.
I only did a brief read of his solution, but it seems like he's setting things up to be segmented off into censorious enclaves, just like the fediverse.
Because of spam? I don't have a better solution. I haven't done a deep dive into how the relay system actually works. I'm just worried that big, popular relays will band together to exclude all relays that don't adhere to their ideology.
oh yeah that is an issue. Basically, the nostr way of of thinking until now was that relays are an open notepad file that anyone can write to and it's up to clients to do all the work. Well that was retarded lol. Nobody in this space thinks like this
I wish I had more time to dig into the mechanics. I do like the idea of possibly being able to recreate an image board or a forum or something using relays, but it seems like they are mostly used to make a twitter clone.
I like thenoster mentality better, though. Of course, that's without digging into it.
