I still remember those days when people said that free software would solve everything; some of you are too young to remember, but later on, Bitcoin was supposed to solve everything. The truth is that the world is much worse now than it was when free software first emerged—and also than it was when Bitcoin first emerged. Perhaps neither of them was the solution; perhaps the solution lies more within ourselves than in these tools, but we all forget that humanity is stupid.

Most humans conduct their lives incapable of sticking to a principle. When GREED is added on top of that you get the worst form of a human being. Corporations, Governments and Banks know this and they take the full advantage out of it. A garbage with a human face is still just garbage and fully deserves to be treated like trash. I think God is judging the world at the moment. The whole world should read about Nineveh humbling themselves before God back in the day. Good news is Christ wins. The world will be better after we all repent and strive for world peace, not world violence. I believe it will happen. Christ already has defeated sin and death.

the truth is, I wonder what's the point of trying to create things that in theory should give the user absolute control when those who do that are people who bow to the first sanction or threat call that comes to them to impose something that gives them more control. them than the user.

Brand new to the free software, freedom tech stuff. Looks to me like these tools will solve a lot for those that use them properly. Humans and their morality have not changed for thousands of years. Its going to take more than 20 years for a small group with good tools to overthrow the old system, if we ever do. Keep going
