Indeed, algorithms are societal mind control. I feel much less stressed out and angry since shutting down all of my prior social media accounts, other than #nostr. I don’t miss them at all… not even a little bit. Although unplugging from them (especially X) felt like breaking off a powerful addiction. Shout out to @jack for the insight while I was still stuck in the matrix. 🧡

I love seeing what the algos have to offer. It is why I am on social media, getting a temperature check of society.

It's amazing how outrage can become our identity, to the point where it hurts to abandon that identity.

well noted, algorithms, like memes, block the ability to think independently, a person merges with the mass of consumed content, his individuality is lost, what he can really bring to the world.

There goes 90% of my use for that platform.
I’m with you though I do kind of miss the macro insights of Felix Jauvin and Quinn Thompson
The trivium can be an anti-virus for mind control. @Dr. Jeff I genuinely wonder how many people have ever received any formal training in logic and cognitive biases. These are the tricks they use to use to control the mind. If the algorithms can learn, so can we.
