Best IDE by far.
it's got it's quirks and bugs but you can't go past its source code indexing and hyperlinking. the terminal is a bit slow too but since about a year VTE, like practically everything to do with the Gnome project, is turning into a bag of dicks. oh and the git interface is brilliant.
still waiting for a proper claude GUI tho. best i can do is claude code CLI lol
The refactoring power alone to me is the killer. It's not just fuzzy search. It checks for everything, file names, comments, markdown. Chef's kiss.
With Android Studio + Firebender, I can't count the number of times I just selected a function and wrote: make this code self explanatory.. and boom. 100x in readability. It's magic.
i bet a lot of late adopters of coding agents were intellij users, just sayin'
