Today I wanted to ditch them all. I've been fighting some flies gor years now, to the point I killed all edible plants and used some awful poison on the decorative ones. Last week I saw something swarming againπ So I decided I'm done, I want herbs, fuck this, nothing helped. Today I took cuttings to replant in fresh new soil - and the old plants are all ok, nothing in soil or around.
I don't know what to think about it, highly susπ€¨ Will things come to life when I start with herbs again? Were these last bugs just some thing a wind brought in? π€¨π€¨π€¨
Even though I joined the food and plant people, I still know little about their magic.
I can just say whenever my plants seem to have died, they just came back. Like zombies. Not all of them tho. But 2 olives and a lime tree.
Trust the process. Or maybe wait till someone with no black thumb answers this. Don't actually believe anything I say about how to care for plants. I'll add #asknostr
I would suggest hydrogen peroxide mist on the soil every 4-5 days until the problem gets under control. There's other ways but that is super easy & safe. You'll want to repopulate with good bacteria afterwards, a little super-diluted kombucha or kefir. Don't give up! If you're going to start fresh, soak your soil with boiling water first & add the good stuff in yourself.
