I found myself wondering specifically about this line: "Omar introduced me to several of his friends, mostly doctors and highly educated scientists." I suppose this could be a facility specifically for white collar criminals, but it did also occur to me what a depressing state it is that any prison has an entire "crew" of people with MDs and PhDs....
