I'm just imagining the politicians just keep having more kids and literally nothing changes except for innocent children being tortured and people think they are making a difference. This is the issue with all torture porn- both literal and metaphorical. You can be willing to torture 500 children and spend a billion gajillion dollars on something, but if the person who can give you what you want just isn't selling then none of it will matter. Just because you can overstimulate your brain into forming a connection doesn't mean that connection will suddenly appear in reality.
