Today is the start of thirteen days of the Deer sign in the Mayan calendar. The Deer represents gentleness, humble leadership, resiliency, connection to nature, mutual (and self) respect, and unity. Talking walks in nature, feeling your connection to nature and others, being humble, and leading by example can all be amplified during this time.

I had to look up where the Ojibwe are. The deer significance is the same, yet the distances between Ojibwe and the Maya are far. I love seeing parallels like that, thank you!
