Spotify can be a real turd.
Instead of checking it out over and over, just to be reminded of why you should switch,
Listen to NTS Radio.
Human DJs, 2 live sets going on 24/7, and it’s free.

Have u tried the Transistor Radio app?
Never heard of it till just now. What’s it all about?
Going to check out NTS
It’s pretty rad. If the two live stations aren’t playing anything you’re interested in, they’ve got a Mixtape section where the live sets are archived and shuffled - you can just pick a genre and it’ll tell you which show each song was played, no commercials ever.
This is nice, I already found an obscure country station. Thanks man this is awesome!
Typically a big fan of internet radio when I find it. There are a few good/free ones out there. 1.fm is fine. It's like traditional internet radio though with some ads and songs that repeat every 30 mins or so. Navidrome and other subsonic servers allow you to save these stations and stream them from your browser or compatible clients.
Spotify has basically blocked my penitently and i refuse to install their apps to spy on me, when I pay them and used to be able to use a web browser.
cool is on https://wavefunc.live/
Free radio, no ads, any genre you want.
I use it in the car

Awesome! Always happy to hear about new free radio options.
Amidst the chaos and corruption of modern life, at least there are some positive things happening.
Absolutely. Its not very new, I've been using it for years! Still love it!.
Thank you for the rec. Will try it out. I had been using station-specific apps like kexp or c89.5 but appreciate the opportunity to increase musical diversity!
my station specific app https://www.psyndora.com
this is how easy it is with transistor to add a new station:
