The harsh truth is that #Trump has never been a bitcoiner. He has probably understood the NGU meme of #bitcoin, but nothing more. #crypto has always been the focus for him, promoting NFTs and this new memecoin. He used Bitcoin for his campaign and many of us have been blinded by his bullshit and his charisma. Bitcoin needs no politician. We should remember this very well.

That's not the harsh true my friend. That's your opinion. The harsh true is that none of us know what Trump knows. And if you claim to, you're delusional. I do agree that bitcoin does not need politicians. But if we're talking time lines, having a bitcoin friendly president (in the most influential country on earth) definitely helps.
I guess it’s a harsh truth for all those that thought that he was a hardcore bitcoiner. To me it’s clear that he is not, otherwise he would not scam people with his shitcoin. This could be only my opinion, but facts seems to go in this direction. Is he Bitcoin friendly, though? Or is he just using Bitcoin for his personal purpose?
Take a deep dive into Trump and his involvement with bitcoin. I'll give a few objective pieces to get started: 1. His wife Melania tweeted Happy Birthday to Satoshi a few years ago. When Trump still thought "bitcoin sounded like a scam" 2. His number 1 guy (General Flynn) tweeted a picture of a bitcoin ATM back in 2015 saying it's the currency of the future 3. His sons are both known bitcoiners and we've recently learned that they've known Saylor for 20 years. Also recently learned that Trump owns a large amount of bitcoin. 4. Brian Brooks (known bitcoiner - spoke at a Bitcoin 2021) was Trump's Comptroller of Currency during his last presidency 5. And the craziest one Trump talked about his uncle John when discussing energy at Bitcoin 2024. Look up Uncle John and his relationship with Nicola Tesla I do not believe Trump was just "pandering to bitcoiners" How many real bitcoiners do you think live in the US that could vote? Realistically? I don't think it's a significant amount Again, should we put all trust into him? God no. But I believe there is much more to this story that no one knows, and he is definitely a NET POSITIVE to bitcoin
This was the narrative amongst bitcoiners and I could not disagree more. Trump talked about sovereignty, energy, and the right to hold keys. He also mentioned his Uncle John Trump who was a genius, MIT professor, and good friends with Nicola Tesla. He also inherited Tesla's discoveries. 800 crates from what I've seen. I wonder who has them now.
5d Chess! Trump wants Bitcoin below 100k before he takes office. Doesn't look like that will work so just giving the rest of us a buying opportunity... This may or may not age well..

We don’t really know this either do we? A president opposed to bitcoin might be better. We can make informed guesses, but we’ll only really know looking back. So far, looking back I see more shitcoining than I see promotion of honest money, hope that changes.
I agree on the fact that the may understand *part* of Bitcoin, and tha people around him have some knowledge on it. However, yes, I think that he is just using Bitcoin as part of his political scheme. Bitcoiners are becoming more and more relevant from a social and economical standpoint, so I guess that he is just the first to have used them to his advantage. We’ll see in the future!
I'm not too up on Tesla story and his discoveries. But it would be strange if some of them had remained secret for so many years, Or maybe they're just not realizable, yet..
