Protestant Christians believe in the Trinity (Father, Son, Holy Spirit-3 persons in 1). Mormons believe God was once a man and believe humans, through eternal progression.
Protestant Christians believe in sola scriptura (Bible is the inerrant word of God and is sufficient). Mormons believe in (despite numerous contradictions in core tenants) the Bible, the Book of Mormon, Pearl of Great Price, and Doctrine and Covenants.
Protestants believe salvation is in the blood of Christ alone. Mormons include requirements such as baptism, temple ordinances, and covenants.
In Joesph Smith’s first “vision”, he said that God told him all the Protestant church’s creeds were an abomination. This is a sweeping condemnation.
Joseph Smith taught polygamy in 1830s and 1840s claiming that God taught it to him in a vision as a restoration of all things. Smith married multiple women. Some who were already married to other men… Protestants believe what the Bible teaches about marriage and adultry.
Smith was 37 when he married his youngest wife in Helen Mar Kimball at 14 in 1843. He was already married to over 30 other women.
I could go on. But you either didn’t pay attention in church growing up or you were lied to like the rest of em.
