Needing to line up some good winter time work, anyone got any advice? Work for myself and a small company, tend to do manual work, gardening and such but not shy of doing other things, what do you (blue collar) guys do over the colder period?

Having been a Painter since early 80's, you need to prioritise indoor work year round if you want to work through the winter. It's so easy to slip into the trap of working outside when the Sun shines, but you are letting people down Who have inside Jobs to do in summer. I didn't make the rules but the sooner you become a specialist indoor worker, pick your trade, the sooner you Will solve that seasonal issue. Not blowing my own trumpet, but I went Up against dozens of good workers like yourself, hooked on painting in the summer, because that's what we were told by the old boys....Many wouldnt have It, but run the numbers and they were destined to always be on the backfoot. Miss a week of work and you know how long It takes to make that Up. It's soul destroying. Good luck be brave.
