Yes, it's strictly better when you need group conversations that will be long lived and you want forward secrecy and post compromise security. Some apps really don't need that level of protection though.
I think it'd be ideal in Chronicle - it's a nostr based family tree/story/media app I'm vining for my family primarily. I want the family to be able to communicate in the most secure private way possible. In an ideal world though, if this is such a better system, wouldn't it be the wise path for most nostr apps/sites to go, just like they upgraded from nip04 to nip17? Or is it too complex for reasons I don't understand yet?
