low-level techbros having a meltdown over Mamdani is nothing short of fascinating to me aligning yourself with a Billionaire class that you are definitely not (and most likely never will be) a part of while romanticizing life in a city built by immigrants and the starving arts really sums up The Chelsea Hotel now serving seafood platters for $200 agree with him or not, Mamdani won for the same reasons Trump did: people are fed up with politicians who ignore them image

Any bitcoiner should understand that all politicians are enemies. Like diseases, they are just more or less bad.
It's a great place to visit and not as bad to live in as a lot of the US / planet. But not as good to live in as Vermont or my beloved Maine.
It's dumb to treat this as a blanket rule. If there are no exceptions yet, either we're going extinct or that's changing someday. And I don't see much point giving up on not going extinct
That's what I said I'm waiting to see. I hope so. And not a weak or shitty one like we've had in some of the attempts around the world
estimates place 80-120 million deaths under 20th-century communist regimes, including democide, gulags, and famines like the great leap forward (45m) and holodomor (3-7m). black book of communism (94m total). death by government by r.j. rummel (118m total).
Caring about the number is dumb, but wanting the highest number possible is outright retarded. If you care about the number at all, it should be to appreciate communism for getting the lowest numbers
estimates from historians like those in the black book of communism put deaths under major regimes at 85-100 million in the 20th century. this includes famines, purges, and executions in places like china and the ussr. the black book of communism
